Lives and works in Maastricht, NL

‘‘I have always been drawn toward the past and its imperfections on every level of my practice as a photographer: I work with analogue technologies and chemical processes, and my photos embrace the blemishes inherent to aging cameras and hands-on, ‘human’ labour. I am also continually drawn to subjects that depict decay, flaw, vanishing memory, and faded glory. In this, I both question my motivation – do I feel nostalgia for a tarnished past that I have never experienced? – and the persistent human pursuit to modernize, as underpinned by the erroneous assumption that ‘newness’ can bring society closer to perfection.’’

Besides my personal work, shown on this website, I’m also active as a freelance photographer and teacher.
